October 22

Lesson Plans: October 22nd – 25th

Tuesday – We will work on our Force, Motion, and Energy Review. This will include questions over kinetic and potential energy, finding overall net force on an object, and Newton’s 3 Laws of Motion.

Wednesday – We will grade our review, and have a study jam review for the test on Thursday. Students who get their review signed after it has been graded will receive bonus points on the test.

Thursday – Force, Motion, and Energy Test.

Friday – We will introduce our next unit on investigating the Solar System.

October 4

Lesson Plans: October 7th – 11th

Monday & Tuesday – Force is defined as a push or pull acting on an object. We will learn to identify and explain how forces act on objects, including gravity, friction, magnetism, applied forces, and normal forces, using real-world applications.

Force – Flexbook

Wednesday & Thursday – We will begin discussing Newton’s 1st Law of Motion; an object in motion stays in motion, or an object at rest stays at rest unless acted on by an unbalanced force.

Newtons 1st Law of Motion Challenge

Friday – We will start in on Newton’s 2nd Law of Motion; the acceleration of an object is dependent upon the net force acting upon the object and the mass of the object.
