April 15

Lesson Plans: April 15th – 19th

Monday & Tuesday – Students will look at the differences between potential and kinetic energy, while learning about the law of conservation of energy. Students will continue to work on their speed lab.
Wednesday – Students will complete the speed lab and work on their test review about motion, force, and energy.
Thursday – Students will study for the test by going over the test review in class.
Friday – Test over motion, force, and energy.
April 8

Lesson Plans: April 9th – 13th

Monday – Students will explore the science of what happens during a solar eclipse, lunar eclipse, and blood moon.

Tuesday – Students will apply the knowledge of displacement and distance with real life examples.

Wednesday – Students will calculate speed by working through a lab.
Thursday and Friday –  Students will look at the difference between potential and kinetic energy and how each type of energy can turn into the other.
April 2

Lesson Plans: April 2nd – 5th

Tuesday – Students will explore motion by determining the difference between distance and displacement through examples, practice problems through real life applications. Students will examine speed in real life, while learning about how to calculate average speed and graphing it.

Wednesday – Students learn about and take notes over force, inertia, mass, friction, and gravity
Thursday and Friday – Students begin to learn about Newton’s 3 laws of motion.
