Monday & Tuesday – We will begin looking at Earth’s natural resources. Students will learn to differentiate between renewable and nonrenewable energy resources. We will also look at the effects these resources have on the environment.
Wednesday & Thursday – We will play a vocabulary matching game with new key words from this unit.
Friday – Thanksgiving Activity
Lesson Plans: November 6th – 10th
Monday – Begin assembling Earth’s Layers Model.
Tuesday – Last day for working on Earth’s Layers Model in class.
Wednesday – Present project models for class.
Thursday & Friday – We will begin discussing Unit 4 Earth’s Energy Resources. We will look at fossil fuels, how they came to be, and the different types and uses.

Monday – Students work on a Vocabulary Crossword & Word search covering:

Tuesday – We will take a deeper look at Plate Tectonics and how these immense slabs are always in motion. Students will learn how these very slow movements build and rebuild the face of the Earth.
Wednesday – Early release. We will have a quick review of all that we have covered so far in this unit, and follow it up with a Gimkit review game.
Thursday – We will work on a Lab Exploration: Dance of the Plates on Discovery.
Friday – Will begin looking at why, where, and how Earthquakes occur.
